Jamaica – November 2008

I just returned from a familiarization trip to Jamaica that took us to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. The people are one of the big reasons why this is such a great destination.  The service is excellent and fun and the beaches are wonderful.

I learned of some great activities to do in the Ocho Rios area.  They have recently opened Mystic Mountain.  You take a ski lift up the mountain where you get incredible views of the shoreline.  Once at the top, you can do zip lining, or take a bobsled through the forest (like a roller coaster without the loops).  Both are a blast!

I also did a Horseback Ride “N” Swim at Braco Stables.  We rode the horses down to the beach, along the beach, then into the water up to our waist.  Then it was back to the stables.  The whole excursion took about 1-2 hours.  It was a good time for even those of us who don’t ride horses!
